Palestinian Resistance Forces Israel to Accept Prisoner Exchange

A four day truce between Hamas and Israel went into affect on Friday November 24th, the truce included a limited prisoner swap in which three times as many Palestinians are to be released from Israeli dungeons in exchange for prisoners held by Hamas. 84 women and children under the age of 19 taken prisoner were freed in return for 240 Palestinian women and teenagers in Israeli detention.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had previously stated that the prisoners held in Gaza would only be released by military means. The military means he speaks of resulted in Israel killing more than 50 of the prisoners held in Gaza. Al-Qassam Martyrs Brigade spokesman Abu Obeida credits the Truce and exchange as a victory of the Resistance: “The enemy gambled on recovering detainees and prisoners held by Qassam and the resistance in Gaza through weapons, murder and genocide, but ended up giving in to the terms of the resistance and the will of our proud people.”

The Palestinian resistance has put up a strong fight against the Zionist invader, Obieda states that more than 335 Israeli military vehicles have been destroyed since the invasion and the guerrilla fighting has been used against the invader. According to the Israeli Defense Forces 391 Israeli soldiers have been killed so far.

The truce has ended as of December 1, with Israel resuming its bombardment and invasion, and the Palestinian resistance engaging in victorious guerrilla armed struggle. Hamas spokesmen told monopoly media outlet Al Jazeera that no more prisoners would be exchanged unless a ceasefire were reached and all Palestinian prisoners were released.

Israel had already violated the truce before that, killing 2 Gazans and injuring 30 more who were attempting to return to their destroyed homes. US president Biden has expressed the possibility of extending the truce in a manner most favorable to Israeli rearmament. Israel has said it is willing to continue the truce with one day towards each ten captives released. Netanyahu has stated that there will be no peace, and the war will continue.

Israel has over 7,200 Palestinian prisoners, of which 88 are women and 250 are children. Four out of ten Palestinian men spends at least some time in prison in their life. Israel convicts even children in military courts and uses administrative detention, which means imprisonment without trial or any charges. The number has rapidly grown since October 7th.
