On Friday, the genocidal Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu was booed on stage as he prepared to give his address to the UN general assembly. As he approached the podium, dozens of country’s representatives walked out, booed, and hissed, highlighting the degree of international rejection of the US-Israel genocide.
The speech reflected the blood-thirsty delusions of a beast in its death throes, throwing its genocidal state from one losing battle to another in a desperate bid for its imperialist overlords to come to its rescue. Netanyahu spun a web of lies that proclaimed that “Israel seeks peace” while his state continues to bomb schools in Gaza and expands its genocide to Lebanon. He painted a picture of the world on the brink of collapse, struggling between “a blessing” of a normalized Israel extending its hegemony across the Middle East and “a curse of Iran’s unremitting aggression”, providing a glimpse into the desperate psyche of the lackeys of the imperialist class that are first on the chopping block as imperialism takes its last gasps.
Just like in his speech to the US Congress in July, the crazed dog blamed every actor and action taken against Israel as being “Iran-backed”. Israel has historically raised this specter throughout its existence as a means to promote divisions both within the resistance and between the resistance and the people, reflecting their colonial paternity toward the Arabs as simpletons who would only attack Israel under the spell of some nefarious outside force. Before the specter of Iran, one of the only non-Arab countries in the Middle East, it was the specter of communism whose hand crept behind every action.
The genocidaire repeatedly tried to justify the holocaust he was leading by referencing the Nazis. But even with these references he could not refrain from lying, at one point stating: “imagine, in a post-war situation after World War II, allowing the defeated Nazis in 1945 to rebuild Germany? It’s inconceivable.” As a matter of fact, this is precisely what happened, with the facilitation of the US to maintain the fascist threat to the growing International Communist Movement.
About an hour after his speech, Israel bombed Lebanon’s capital Beirut, extending the genocide with the materiel and monetary backing of the US. The Biden administration’s empty rhetoric of calling for a ceasefire is a diplomatic ruse to cover up their role in pushing the genocide further. On Thursday, Israel announced that it received an $8.7 billion military package, and earlier in the week, the US announced that it was deploying more troops to Lebanon, adding to its already roughly 40,000 troops in the region.
In New York, massive demonstrations took place across the city and throughout the day on Thursday when the prime minister arrived. Thousands marched from Midtown Manhattan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where Mayor Eric Adams held a reception to welcome genocide-supporter UN General Assembly members to the city. Protesters successfully took over and blocked major roads for over 3 hours, as hundreds of cops scrambled to keep up with the protesters who tactically split up and navigated roads to deceive the cops. Protesters dispersed after rallying in front of Loews Regency Hotel where Netanyahu was allegedly staying. Dozens were arrested throughout the evening.

On Saturday, Ansarallah, the Yemeni resistance, announced that it launched a missile at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel timed to hit when Netanyahu’s plane was to touch down from New York.
