The Qassam Brigades, the military organization of Hamas, today (3/20) claimed responsibility for missile attacks on the capital of Israel, Tel Aviv, in the center of occupied Palestine, in response to the cowardly violation of the ceasefire agreement promoted by the Zionists in the early hours of Sunday. The attack was carried out in a coordinated manner with a volley of missiles fired by the Ansarallah movement of Yemen against the territory occupied by Israel.
According to Hamas military forces, the M-90 missile attack targeted the center of the Zionist capital. They stressed that the offensive was in retaliation for the ceasefire violation by Israel, which has again invaded the Gaza Strip from the ground and, in the last three days, has killed more than 500 Palestinians in shelling. According to the Israeli occupation, the missiles were intercepted.
In parallel with the Hamas attack, the Ansarallah movement also launched missiles into the occupied territory. “The Yemeni armed forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Ben Gurion airport in the occupied Jaffa [Tel Aviv] region with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile,” said the movement’s spokesman Yahya Saree. The Yemeni missiles forced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to flee the Knesset (Israeli parliament) and be evacuated to a safe location.
The Ansarallah attack was yet another demonstration of solidarity between the Yemeni people and the Gaza Strip. Last weekend, Ansarallah resumed its blockade of vessels bound for Israel in the Red Sea in response to Israel’s ceasefire violations. US imperialism responded with intense bombings, killing hundreds of Yemeni civilians. Since then, Yemeni patriots have bombarded the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman at least twice.
Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, said the strikes were coordinated and welcomed the act of internationalism: “We salute our true brothers in Yemen for their honorable stance and direct support for their people in Gaza, despite the high cost. Today, Yemeni missiles crossed into Gaza, confirming that Gaza is not alone.”
The Hamas spokesman also called on the Arab people and all free people of the world to “engage in battle” in defense of the Palestinian people.
