Protesters gathered around and inside the flagship Apple store in Manhattan on Black Friday (11/28), disrupting the monopoly’s business as they chanted, gave speeches, and distributed pamphlets about Apple’s role in child and slave labor in rare-earth mining in the Congo, its ties to the Israeli government and Israeli Defense Forces, its collaboration with the NYPD and ICE, and the Apple CEO’s relations with imperialist-in-chief Donald Trump. Following the disruption, protesters marched down 5th Avenue, targeting businesses on the Boycott Divest and Sanctions (BDS) list in solidarity with Palestine. At least 4 protesters were violently arrested by the NYPD, with at least one knocked unconscious by the police.
