On April 13, Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles against Zionist military targets, beginning operation “True Promise”. It occurs in response to the assassination of two generals of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards by actions of the Israeli Zionist Army on 04/01. The operation, which left 31 injured and damaged at least one Zionist air base, was ended in the following hours with an official statement from Iran.

In the closing statement, Iran highlighted that it was a response made “based on article 51 of the UN Charter, relating to legitimate defense”. The statement ends by promising new attacks if the “Israeli regime makes another mistake”, highlighting that this is a conflict between Iran and the “rogue Zionist regime”, from which “the United States must stay away”. Therefore, Iran’s action is supported by international public opinion.

Military forces linked to Yankee, French and British imperialism – in addition to the pro-Zionist lackey government of Jordan – acted to shoot down some of the missiles aimed at Israel. Without presenting evidence, Israel claimed that “99% of the missiles” were intercepted. And Joe Biden, representative of the single hegemonic superpower (United States) declared that “Israel has demonstrated a remarkable ability to defend itself”. Pure propaganda, since the Zionist Army’s own spokesman, Daniel Higari, admitted that there were significant losses at the affected air base.

Desperation and division in the Zionist government

The immediate results were disastrous for the Zionists: panic gripped the Israeli population, a rumor was spread that the Prime Minister and other Zionist political leaders were leaving the country via the “Zion plane”. An order was issued to residents of northern Israel to head to bomb shelters. Furthermore, the defeated Zionist Army ordered the closure of airspace, canceled school activities and launched a mobilization of all reservist forces.

Also as an immediate result, Zionist political representatives were divided. According to the Zionist press monopoly “Times Of Israel”, there is consensus that Israel must respond. But it is divided on how to do it. War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz argued that the Zionist Army should launch an attack against Iran while the Iranian Operation was underway. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant were against it. The information was denied by those involved – which is also a sign that Zionism is divided.

UN Council ends without agreements

The attack also prompted the Zionist prime minister to convene a UN Security Council meeting on Sunday. The meeting ended without an agreement and with Israeli attacks on Iran.

The representative of the United States stated that “the objective is not escalation”, but argued that the best way to avoid this escalation would be for the UN Council to condemn the Iranian attack, calling for a reduction in tensions.

Israel’s ambassador, Guilad Erdan, compared the Iranian government to the Third Reich, and Ali Khamenei, leader of Iran, to Hitler. Without mentioning the routine attacks on Iranian sovereignty, the Zionist stated that Israel has the legal right to launch action in retaliation and accused the UN itself and the entire “international community” of not acting. Journalist Jamil Chade, from the UOL press monopoly, reported that the diplomats laughed when the Zionist accused Iran of not complying with UN resolutions.

In response, Iran’s ambassador argued that it was a “self-defense” operation and stated that Israel must be “careful”, in addition to criticizing the imperialists of France, the United Kingdom and the United States. He stated that: “Iran does not want a confrontation with the USA”, but also warned: “If the [North] Americans start a military operation, we will use proportionate means”.

Here it is clear that Iran’s action took place at the limit. It could not be condemned diplomatically, but it has already deepened the division between Zionists and Yankees (the former are eager to give a response, while the Yankees have already stated that they will not support militarily). The tendency is that Israel’s response, once it is unleashed, will worsen the regional siege to which it is already subject. Consequently, Iran will be able to count on greater political and military support from anti-imperialist forces in the region and from governments that are opposed to Zionism.

Palestinian resistance emerges strengthened

The main aspect of Iran’s unprecedented attack on Zionist targets – carried out in a proportionate manner, placing a defeat in the lap of Zionism and forcing it to respond, thereby further worsening its situation of division and international condemnation – is that the Palestinian Cause emerges stronger from the regional crisis.

External conditions could not be more favorable for the defeat of the Zionist State – which, nevertheless, will be the result of a prolonged, persistent and painful struggle, for which, after all, the Palestinian Resistance has already demonstrated that it is prepared.

In a word: Palestine is ready to persist in the struggle around the three targets set by Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa: Liberate Jerusalem, free Palestinian political prisoners, and put the Palestinian Cause back on the agenda.
