US Imperialists Include Journalist in Plans to Attack Yemen, The Resistance Continues

Tommy Johnson

On Wednesday, the monopoly media outlet The Atlantic revealed that senior national security officials casually carried out their planning to bomb Yemen on the app Signal. To make matters worse, the careless imperialists accidentally included the Editor in Chief of The Atlantic in the chat. The chat itself violates the law by sharing classified information, including type of planes and time of bombings over an unclassified medium.

The Trump administration feebly attempted to downplay their mistake, with the White House press secretary claiming that no classified information was posted in the chat, a claim that many former national security officials have countered.

The imperialists carry out their butchery with no regard to seeking Congressional approval or even planning their illegal actions over the legal channels, and this is not due to brazen confidence, as some would understand it, but because in desperation Trump has appointed many untrained and unqualified individuals, deepening the contradictions among the ruling class. The main lesson for workers is that this is the reality of the class enemy, and they are not invincible and will make even greater mistakes.

In Yemen, the resistance continues unabated despite the US imperialist air strikes. Attacks on US warships continue in the Red Sea, and on Tuesday ( 3/25) millions of Israelis living in the occupied territory including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were forced to seek shelter from Yemeni rocket attacks. The rocket attacks halted air traffic at Ben Gurion airport, following Ansar Allah’s proclamation that “the so-called ‘Ben Gurion Airport’ is now unsafe,” and they warn that it will remain so “until the aggression on Gaza and the siege is lifted.”
