Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) abducted Venezuelan Lyft driver Salin Ramos at the Nashville International Airport (BNA) on October 22 at 4:40am, local sources told The Worker.
Ramos’ partner Dalieth Guevara-leal is trying to get in contact with him from Venezuela, according to local sources.
Tennessee Drivers Union (TDU) Co-President Joseph Hill shared with monopoly media that Ramos was abducted “while making a drop off at the arrivals area of BNA. The drivers are incredibly pissed. They see it as an attempt to scare them and make them back down, but I’ve seen nothing but bravery from the drivers who feel all the more empowered in their fight.”
A recent report by monopoly news outlet WKRN shows that the Metro Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) operates at least 11 Flock cameras since last fall, which have been used for immigration-related tracking more than 3,500 times through July 7. At least 416 of the searches were on behalf of ICE.
The MNAA has a record of tracking license plates to attack and retaliate against rideshare drivers, who have gone on strike three times at the airport with TDU.
TDU released a statement over the summer exposing how the airport’s geofencing policy was used to temporarily ban 34 drivers, while three drivers and two non-driver supporters were permanently banned during their 2025 strike. This policy allows BNA to track drivers’ vehicles on-site while the supporters’ location and personal data were also tracked as passengers.
