Iran Has the Right to Defend Itself!

The development of atomic weapons is a means by which Iran, an oppressed nation, secures its defense. Regardless if this is in fact the aims of the Iranian government— it continues to maintain that it is not—it would be justified in pursuing such nuclear ambitions given the vile threats and attacks it faces regionally and internationally. US imperialism promotes war and death upon the Iranian people, using the vicious and mad dog the Zionist enemy to carry it out. US imperialism has already indicated through both imperialist ruling class parties that it seeks indirect or direct war with Iran to fulfill its dark dreams of regime change upon that country. The question for them is only whether or not the US imperialists can afford another direct entanglement or if their butchers can do it for them.

It becomes the prerogative of every honest US worker, every real progressive, and all decent people in the US to immediately oppose war on Iran, to defend the oppressed country’s right to defend itself from illegal attacks. The Zionist enemy began its war campaign while Iran was in negotiations in order to force the country into accepting a bad deal, a deal which would assure their continued domination and deprivation. Negotiations at gun point are all the imperialists are capable of and all they understand.

Condemn every attempt by US imperialism and its lackey Zionists to intervene in Iranian sovereignty, and defend and support Iran’s right to self-defense. US imperialism dreams of turning Iran into a graveyard but they cannot do it; as they are forced to terrorize and torment the world, they only increase the people’s resolve to combat and resist US imperialist hegemony, and it has been made clear by the advanced sections of the American people that their maneuvers will not pass without resistance at home either.

In this epic, it is critical to rely on all honest sentiments of the people, of all people who oppose war, and to transform this opposition by concretely linking it to opposition to imperialist war and imperialism itself. It is not enough to contain discussion to this or that atrocity or to focus only on the individual victims of imperialism, but to strike a blow at imperialism itself. This means acting in the most ardent spirit of internationalism, linking the Palestinian cause, the national liberation movements, the people’s wars, and the denunciation of the murder of revolutionary leaders.

The conditions demand to educate one and all on the reality that the national liberation struggles form the basic force of the world proletarian revolution, with the people’s wars at the forefront. In this spirit we oppose unjust wars with just wars. The Iranian people have been drawn into a just war against imperialist intervention. The US imperialists are completely behind the illegal and unjust assaults on Iran and its people.

Generate anti-war sentiment and transform the consciousness of all who take up the cause for peace to understand that real peace is built on the ashes of imperialism. This is the task of revolutionaries among the people. The general crisis of imperialism is what links all the grievances leading to mass rebellion, from the terrorist deportations, to the genocide against the Palestinian people, to the increasing gestures of open intervention in Iran. Develop these grievances further, expanding from opposition to specific crimes of imperialism to support for the destruction of imperialism and the concrete actions that realize it bit by bit.
