Senator Lindsey Graham, a longtime Republican Senator from South Carolina, died on July 11 at age 71 after a “brief and sudden illness” following a visit to a major drone factory in Ukraine.
Over three decades in Congress, Graham worked tirelessly to legislate numerous wars and massacres against the people of the world for US imperialism.
Over the past few decades, Graham voted to authorize the invasion and occupation of Iraq, criticized both Trump and Obama for reducing troop levels in Afghanistan, rallied and supported Obama and NATO’s campaign in Libya, and for the last decade has pushed for crushing sanctions and war against Iran.
Graham, a genocidal Zionist ghoul, said in an interview that the Zionist entity of “Israel” should “flatten (Gaza)… bombing everyone to smithereens.” He has also suggested Israel should use nuclear weapons against Gaza and that “no limit” should be placed on the IDF.
The ultra-reactionary Senator also acted as a cheerleader for the “Donroe” Doctrine, threatening to invade Cuba while intensifying US imperialism’s starvation blockade. “We’re marching through the world, we’re cleaning out the bad guys,” he told Fox News in reference to US imperialism’s massacres throughout Latin America.
The two party mafias mourned the loss of the faithful servant of the ruling class.
“Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known, is dead!” President Trump posted on his social media early on Sunday. “He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!”
Former President Joe Biden remarked, “Lindsey and I served together in Congress for over a decade, and worked closely on many issues throughout the years. We traveled the world together as members of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. We disagreed often, and sometimes loudly [but] Lindsey and I did agree on the profound importance of public service. Like me, he loved the Senate as an institution, even with all its flaws and complexities.”
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone, the late Senator Lindsey Graham’s younger sister, to serve the remainder of his term.
While Graham died without being convicted for his crimes, US imperialism is getting its just desserts for its terror and genocide that Graham contributed to as the Iranian national resistance and its allies land powerful blows against US imperialism and Zionism.
